Fr. Jerry joined the Conventual Franciscans in Granby, MA after being ordained in 1978. As a Franciscan, he assignments included serving the people of:

-St. Paul's Church, Atlas, PA

-St. Stanislaus Church, Fells Point, Baltimore, MD

-Villa Maria College Campus Ministry, Buffalo, NY

-St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Sharon, PA

-Holy Trinity Church, Lawrence, MA

Fr. Jerry became a diocesan priest in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany in 1994, and began serving at the Church of Immaculate Conception in Glenville, NY under then pastor Fr. Connery. After three years as an associate at Immaculate, Fr. Jerry was re-assigned to serve the people of the Church of St. Mary in Clinton Heights, East Greenbush, NY as pastor. In 2007, Fr. Jerry returned to the Church of Immaculate Conception to serve as pastor.

Responsibilities of the Pastor include celebrating mass and the sacraments, visiting homebound and ailing parishioners, attending meetings, overseeing and administering to the parish and its comprising entities, including but not limited to: office staff, liturgical events, faith formation and youth ministry students, and administration.

In the words of Fr. Jerry... "I am privileged to be allowed to enter into the lives and hearts of people, and to offer them consolation, share in their joy, and walk with them on their journey. Also, as a priest, I am humbled to provide the Eucharist for my people each week, and to offer the Lord's sacraments to them."
